What you will do

• Maintain and optimize the current generation of command-line tools for conversions and in-place upgrade

• Participate in the full development lifecycle, from design to release, including RPM packaging for Centos Stream and RHEL systems

• Communicate and collaborate with developers and teams inside and outside Red Hat

• Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation

• Develop and validate prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues, working closely with all stakeholders

What you will bring

• Experience with Linux administration and a solid understanding of the Linux operating system

• Intermediate proficiency in Python programming language

• Expertise in using Git for version control

• Proactive, collaborative team player with effective problem-solving skills

• Competence in troubleshooting and debugging complex system issues

• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal

Considered as a plus

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Ansible

• Familiarity with software testing, including unit and integration tests

• Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols
