As a Control Management - Associate within the Asset Wealth Management, you will play a key role in enhancing the Asset Wealth Management Controls environment. You will have the opportunity to learn a suite of new skills that you can leverage throughout your career, while also managing risk by facilitating solutions to complex problems that are not confined to one sub-line of business. You will promote automation to deliver solutions across governance and reporting landscape.
Job Responsibilities:
- Creating a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols.
- Reviewing and analyzing program related data (e.g., KRI/KPI) to support business-related programs and strategies.
- Providing leadership support for the end-to-end execution of the Risk & Control Self-Assessment, including identification of control design issues and remediation strategies, to reduce financial loss, regulatory exposure, and reputational risk.
- Managing control-related activities, including risk event occurrences, and new business initiatives and providing control related due diligence to business units to foster a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols.
- Partnering effectively with colleagues across the firm, business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators and technology control functions to drive consistent and rigorous operational risk practices and Control programs including control committees, risk mitigation, key risk indicators, control design and performance evaluation.
- Establishing control governance and reporting to identify meaningful metrics to inform on health of operational risk and control environment and escalating control deficiencies based on key reporting indicators.
- Communicating effectively across all levels
- Leading and partnering with the business, legal, risk, compliance and other control partners on various issues ranging from self-identified issues to global regulatory enforcement actions.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field
- 10+ years of financial services experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, operations, or compliance
- Knowledge of banking processes, regulations and risk.
- Demonstrate confident leadership and sound judgment to influence a strong culture and risk management.
- Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create, and evaluate a Risk & Control Self-Assessment in conjunction with business partners.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams)
