We are seeking an experienced Applied Science Manager to lead a team of talented applied scientists, hardware and software engineers, developing and deploying advanced vision, machine learning and control algorithms. - You will keep your technical skills current to contribute to architecture and design discussions.
- You will regularly take part in deep-dive troubleshooting exercises and drive technical post-mortem discussions to identify the root cause of complex issues.

- A PhD in Computer Science, Robotics or a related engineering field
- 6+ years of applied research experience
- 3+ years of scientists or machine learning engineers management experience
- Experience in computer vision and/or motion control domains, solving complicated robotics problems for automation tasks
- Experience building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business application
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
- Ability to build and collaborate effectively with a diverse, talented team
- Ability to distill informal customer requirements into problem definitions, dealing with ambiguity and competing objectives
