responsible for the development and administration of security programs and procedures for classified or sensitive materials, documents, and equipment. Assist in the preparation of manuals establishing procedures for handling, storing, keeping records, and for granting access to restricted areas, records and materials. You will directly support security operations and emergency response, as well as participate in improving the consistency and effectiveness of security and safety across the regional footprint. You will apply advanced consulting and communication skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industrial security knowledge to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction. Mentor and supervise team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise program team, ensuring implementation, control and maintenance of mandated security postures and strategies, across the entire Protective Security spectrum; collaborate and advise on security projects, related information technology requirements and compliance.
Maintain and develop security procedures and support all security aspects integrated into the development, test, and qualification of Defence and Space products. To support this role, you must have a detailed understanding of AU and US security procedures.
Ensure the sites retain appropriate client security accreditations e.g., Facility Security Clearance (FSC), maintain associated accreditation documents, coordinate security for client visits, and ensure any non-compliances are identified and appropriate corrective action plans implemented.
Manage closed area security and compliance, deployment of all security containers, routine musters and associated inventory, and perform audits as required.
Work with Cyber Engineering to ensure appropriate protective network and server measures are deployed, compliant with Government standards and mandatory accreditations are maintained.
Direct logistics requirements for production process movement of sensitive material, as required; perform security surveys, identifying additional measures required to support business growth; develop and manage required security training to ensure employee compliance.
Serves as program security focal
Supports Governance Programs by assisting with ongoing management of programs compliance;
Facilitates compliance training program, assuring learning modules are annually reviewed and updated;
Will develop and administer security programs and procedures for classified or sensitive materials, documents, and equipment;
Assist in the preparation of manuals establishing procedures for handling, storing, keeping records, and for granting access to restricted areas, records and materials;
Tracks security clearance investigations and performs administrative support functions;
Assist in the investigations of security incidents and prepare reports specifying preventive actions;
Key Experience & Capabilities:
Experience with Defence Information Security Program (DISP), Security Clearance Processing, and including collateral and SCI;
Knowledge of SCI personnel security packages and processing procedures, including NISPOM, SEAD, DoD directives, EOs, or ICDs;
Ability to navigate multiple DOD SCI components and Intelligence Communities;
Must currently hold at least NV1 Australian Security Clearance; and
Must have Australian citizenship
FSO Program Management for possessing facilities and FSO role
Familiarity with Physical Security, Construction of Closed Areas, managing security Programs
Ability to assist in the development and administration of security programs for classified and sensitive but unclassified information or proprietary materials, documents and equipment
SME creating industrial security policies and procedures
COMSEC experience
