The Difference You Will Make:

As a software engineer in this team, you’ll work on test infrastructure to enable integration testing, performance testing, differential testing etc. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing and maintaining this infrastructure, improving system stability and avoiding test flakiness etc.

A Typical Day:

• Designing and building a world-class test infrastructure (e.g. integration testing, performance testing, differential testing)
• Partnering with our customers (all engineers at Airbnb) and optimizing the user experience of testing to make it best in class
• Optimizing the efficiency and accuracy of test system and implementing tools to avoid flakiness
• Helping to shape the technical strategy that directly moves our core metrics (system ROI, user experience, result accuracy and stability)
• Collaborating with engineering leaders from DevTools team, Framework team, QE team, SRE team and Performance team for developing and optimizing the test flows in Airbnb
• Driving the adoption of test tools and system across all Airbnb engineering teams
• A player/coach of our high-performance team to ensure code quality, commitment to craft and operational excellence

Your Expertise:

• 9+ years of industry experience
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in one or more back-end server languages (Java/Go/Kotlin)
• Experience leading and shipping large scope technical projects in collaboration with multiple experienced engineers.
• Familiarity with test system that serves large engineering group (1000+)
• Experience or knowledge of front-end, Android or iOS development will be better.
• Fluent English and Mandarin in oral and written communication
