Mentor the team and lead the charge on lifting key business metrics that help Vimeo to grow.
Skills and knowledge you should possess:
An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating relevant experience. Show your work and process, not just final designs – and illustrate how it affected the user’s experience. Beautiful work is important, but the thinking behind it is even more so.
5+ years as a product designer, user experience designer, or similar role with accompanying experience in visual design.
Excellent user-centered design skills - you love the details and have a deep understanding of design fundamentals with a proficiency in Figma/Sketch and modern prototyping tools.
Excellent communication skills - you can clearly articulate your design vision through verbal and written explanation, sketching, or quick mock-ups to small or large groups, from designers to the leadership team.
Ability to be autonomous - you take initiative and end-to-end ownership of complex projects while collaborating with cross-functional partners and other designers, by seeking and giving feedback with a positive sense of curiosity and encouragement!
Strong familiarity with industry standard UX practices and methods.
Bonus points (nice skills to have, but not needed):
Experience working with remote or distributed product teams.
UX and site experience across mobile and desktop.
Knowledge and experience with motion design and animation.
