As a Quant Analytics Professional within the Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) Finance team, you will be responsible for defining, refining, and achieving the set goals for our firm. Your role will involve promoting the analytical book of work during the development of the Price Elasticity & Optimization product for consumer lending products in the CCB treasury. You will support various lines of business, including home lending, retail banking, auto finance, and business banking. Your responsibilities will also include strategic thinking, presenting to executive stakeholders, and ensuring engineering teams meet overarching delivery goals. This role does not involve model development, but rather working closely with the modeling, data, business, and tech teams in delivering analytical solutions, conducting deep dives, assessing whether the model in development meets business requirements, back-testing, and more.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lay out the modeling requirements for the pricing elasticity of lending & deposits products including mortgage, auto, card, business banking, wealth management etc.
  • Work closely with business modeling team to build sound pricing elasticity models.
  • Analyze model inputs and model outputs to facilitate model development and model deployment.
  • Partner with business teams to apply the model output to business strategies.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to help management understand the business impact of pricing strategies.
  • Partner effectively with finance, modelling, data & technology, and business teams
  • Present results and recommendations clearly and concisely

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills.

  • Post-Graduation degree in a quantitative discipline; Math, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or equivalent work/training is required.
  • 6+ years of technical delivery experience with a demonstrated track record of growing responsibility.
  • Banking experience in one or more US consumer credit portfolios (i.e., U.S. Mortgage, Home Equity, Credit Card, Automotive, Lease, Business Banking)
  • Knowledge of the Finance process especially Pricing, and macroeconomics
  • Strong technical and statistical skills. Ability to synthesize data and communicate to leadership in a concise and effective manner, both verbally and written
  • Focused attention to detail, analytical & inquisitive with high standards for quality and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint). Experience in using Data extraction and Data analysis tools like SQL/R/Python

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Knowledge of working in public cloud AWS will be an added advantage.
  • History of effective multi-tasking, expectation setting, and escalation of issues, where appropriate
  • Project Management Skills -- well-organized, structured approach. Ability to achieve tight timelines on complex deliverables. Ability to manage and prioritize projects across cross-functional groups.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with individuals across departments / functions and with senior level individuals.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and in a rapidly changing environment to meet deadlines.
  • Exhibited leadership and desire to oversee the development of credit analysts in the team. Experience in retail finance or Credit card finance within a bank a big plus
