Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide, and we are looking for passionate Senior Technical Program Manager, Datacenter Portfolio Management to help achieve our mission.

In this role, the successful candidate will partner closely with key engineering leaders to drive programs focused on transforming how we deliver data centers to our customers. These programs will be on the leading edge of innovation and will include driving pilots and other first of kind programs that shape ongoing strategy in delivering data centers efficiently and on schedule. You balance effective analytical and technical skills with the ability to influence decision makers within the CO+I leadership and execution teams spread across the rest of Azure. You will also partner closely with related teams including our design engineering, construction, networking and data center project management teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degreein Engineering, Business, Construction Management, Data Analytics/ScienceAND 4+years experienceinplanning, project management, execution, and stakeholder alignment across large-scale complex organizationswithin mission critical spaces
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 2+years experiencemanaging cross-functional and/or cross-team projectsrelated toarchitecture,engineering,procurement, construction management,networking,building management/monitoringor equivalent

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, Data Analytics/Science AND 10+ years experience in planning, project management, execution, and analytics across large-scale complex organizationswithin mission critical spaces
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 8+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projectsrelated to architecture, engineering, procurement, construction management, networking, building management/monitoring or equivalent.
• Demonstrates deep subject matter expertise on key functional areas of engineering, procurement, construction, mechanical, electrical, networking, and building automation systems.
• Experience working with large-scale data sets and analytics tools (e.g. PowerBI, PowerApps) to derive insights and make process improvements.
• Comfortable working at the Executive level within a highly matrixed organization.
• Experience driving execution with hyper-scale cloud engineering groups.
• Technical program management experience managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, people, risk, and communications.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience working with large, diverse teams.
• Understanding of business and financial objectives and plans accordingly.
• Demonstrated technical excellence in learning and applying successful strategies and implementing improvements to engineering methods and quality practices across the data center delivery portfolio.
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
• Experience managing large scale construction or network infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of contract language.

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
