ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a motivated Intern for our Sputter Process Engineering team in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in thin film deposition techniques and contribute to cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing processes.

• Assist in the operation and maintenance of sputtering equipment
• Collect and analyze data from sputter deposition processes
• Support process optimization efforts through data interpretation and statistical analysis
• Participate in experiments to improve thin film quality and deposition efficiency
• Participate in precious metal cost saving project
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot process issues
• Maintain accurate documentation of experimental procedures and results
• Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for sputtering processes
• Present findings and recommendations to the engineering team

REQUIRED

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of sputtering processes and thin film deposition techniques
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow cleanroom protocols and safety procedures

PREFERRED:

• Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
• Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE)
• Familiarity with cleanroom operations

SKILLS

• Basic understanding of vacuum systems and semiconductor manufacturing processes
• Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
