UKI Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting and Analysis Lead – Permanent – UK wide
The role drives the creation of business success by driving business insights and analysis across the Business Unit to support and grow the business. The candidate will deliver this through:
- Leading and operationalising the PBFA teams and processes across the UKI Service Lines, delivering on time and to the highest standard.
- Be seen as a trusted advisor to various UKI stakeholder groups on strategic items, and leads on financial matters.
- Leading the delivery of insight from analysis of results.
- Managing a diverse team. Ensuring you work together to support the vision for PBFA and the broader Finance team.
- Participating as an active member of the UKI PBFA Leadership team, driving consistency and efficiency to achieve our objectives.
Your key responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Provide strategic advice and recommendations for improving financial performance and operating efficiencies. Ensure outputs align to wider UK objectives.
- Lead and operationalise on all Global and Local Market planning processes working with your Service Line HOFs and UKI & FS Head of PBFA.
- Represent PBFA Finance on Global and EMEIA projects and working groups.
- Further drive the pursuit of continuous improvement, efficiency and innovation, including active participation in UKI and wider finance transformation initiatives.
- Understand the complexities and nuances of the business to support the wider Finance team.
- Lead on and work with the Finance HOFS on central change initiatives.
- Support close working relationships with the broader UKI Finance teams, particularly Markets Finance
- Lead on a robust close to the period-end accounts. Sharing insights with the UKI Leadership on the performance of the business.
- Ensure the adoption of best practice and leverage the Global tools available where possible.
- Ad hoc projects relating to a broad range of topics.
- Provide ad-hoc support as needed.
- Act as a role model for others demonstrating a wellbeing mindset.
- Support the development and execution of Finance’s people proposition in PBFA, inclusive of the attraction and retention of diverse talent to build and retain a high performing team.

- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to resolve complex business challenges with a wide range of customers, stakeholders and clients.
To qualify for the role you must have
- A proven ability to lead Finance teams in the successful completion of Global, Regional and Local Finance processes, on time and to the right quality.
- A history of partnering with the Leadership in organisations to advise on strategic discussions, achieving realistic growth targets, and planning based on modelling of resources and other KPIs and drivers.
- The agility to lead and respond to inquiries received various stakeholders on event specific triggers.
- Proven people skills, directing and maintaining a high performing team.
- Progressive mind-set to support Finance and the business through transformation and to deliver long term value.
- Demonstrate behaviours that benefit society and our communities.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- A relevant business degree and be a member of a recognised accounting institute.
- Understanding of the nuances of the markets and associated regulation EY will be expected to comply with.
- Continuous improvement experience.
- Experience defining, driving, and deploying new / next generation tools or reporting.
- 15+ years’ experience in a financial management or a related role.
