What You Need to Know About the Role:
At PayPal, as a Business Development Representative, you will leverage our reputation as a technology leader to drive market share by building a strong pipeline of opportunities for our account executives. In this role, you will actively develop relationships with potential customers and gain a solid foundation in technology sales and payments, setting the stage for growth into a quota-carrying sales executive.


Job Description:

You will play a pivotal role by creating valuable connections between our sales team and some of the market's largest, most impressive companies. By prospecting leads independently and leveraging support from internal teams like Enterprise Marketing, you will uncover key opportunities. Using a variety of channels—including calls, emails, and social platforms—you'll identify and nurture leads until they're ready to be handed off to our Enterprise Sales reps. Ultimately, your efforts will drive increased sales and contribute significantly to our long-term business growth.

Your Day to Day

  • Proactively research and monitor market trends, opportunities, and competition.

  • Identify and build a robust pipeline targeting verticals and merchants not yet using PayPal solutions.

  • Engage prospective merchants via phone, email, in-person events, and social platforms to uncover new opportunities.

  • Assess prospect needs by identifying pain points and matching them with PayPal’s platform capabilities.

  • Coordinate with Enterprise Sales by setting up meetings and maintaining accurate records in Salesforce

What You Need to Bring

  • Proven experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Executive, or similar role, with a keen desire to learn enterprise sales methodologies (SaaS experience is a plus).

  • A dynamic, results-driven hunter personality with a demonstrated track record of achieving individual and team goals.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and collaborative skills are essential for thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic sales environment.

  • Proficiency with Salesforce (with Outreach.io experience a plus) and a solid understanding of the French market and eCommerce trends.

  • Native-level French and excellent English language skills.
