GL Controller with German

Hybrid model: 2 days office/3 days remote

Finance role to support one of EMEIA regions – Europe West with the focus on Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Support of the “General Ledger Accounting” Function that keeps our organization long-term successful.

Your key responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly bookings and supporting finance team during month-end close with SAP
  • Analyse P&L and balance sheet accounts on a general and ad hoc basis
  • Participation in FY-end Close, such as supporting the preparation and process of inventory review for external engagements
  • Participation in ongoing transformation projects within the accounting finance function

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or professional certification in a business-related subject matter (i.e. Accounting, Finance)
  • First experience in internal cost accounting or willing to extend his/her General Ledger Accounting knowledge. 3+ years of experience in finance/controlling or similar roles.
  • Confident using MS Office software package (including MS Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
  • Good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
  • Understanding of financial administrative processes Monitor the quality of the implementation of work processes and procedures, proactively identify opportunities for improvement and report these to the team leader

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Knowledge of SAP-FI and SAP-CO would be an advantage
