Required Qualifications:

  • Experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree AND experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • Software industry experience working as a technical program or product manager

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
  • Experience in
    • Data Center Network Technologies
    • Software Defined Networks
    • Distributed systems, building large scale platforms, and cloud technologies.
  • Proven ability to discuss distributed computing topics with technical, non-technical, and executive audiences.
  • Domain knowledge about cloud datacenter infrastructure & environment.
  • Strong track record of self-directed execution.
  • Scripting and/or programming skills in C#, R, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Hands on experience with data analytic tools (such as Kusto/Azure Data Explorer, Power BI, SQL).
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to be strategic, but also drive tactics and execution as needed.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Responsibilities
  • Define roadmaps for scenarios / features / capabilities that you will own.
  • Develop credible execution plans.
  • Apply data driven insight where possible to improve efficiency.
  • Design features by converting complex requirements, metrics, and policy into technical feature specifications and designs.
  • Ability to work independently in highly ambiguous environments, with engineering, operations and relevant business groups across Microsoft.
  • Take a structural approach in solving complex problems. Communicate to senior decision makers in a clear & compelling way.
  • Stellar cross group collaboration, able to drive decisive action in partnership with others in a large & diverse organization and deliver results that depend on broader Microsoft org.
  • Define targets for key business KPIs, and track and report progress on them.
  • Define and implement QoS and SLA metrics for your scenarios / features / capabilities.
  • Help lead and champion a team culture that embraces diversity and inclusivity.
