In this role, you will:
- Participate in researching financial data and reporting the findings within the functional area
- Work in collecting internal financial data, analyze and test for accuracy
- Review tactical issues, policies or procedures for which answers can be quickly obtained, related to risks and deliverables
- Receive direction from supervisor to support operational aspects of work that may include maintaining ledger accounts to ensure accurate maintenance of financial data
- Exercise independent judgment while preparing data for research on product lines and strategic plans
- Understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported area
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ months of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years of pricing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of merchant card industry and/or general pricing principles
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to be solutions oriented and deal with ambiguous situations.
- Financial services industry experience preferred.
- BA/BS inMathematics/Statistics/Accountancy.,
- Excellent Analytical and Reasoning skill set
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and meet critical deadlines.
- Competent at using Excel and Word. Must be able to create excel spreadsheets and understand and manipulate formulas in excel.
- Strong attention to detail.
Job Expectations:
- Candidate will support the pricing team with their activities.
- Should be able to understand the current boarding tool - Boarding Through Dynamics (BTD) and any future boarding tool systems and enhancements.
- Requires extensive data reconciliation & consolidation as well as analysis, coupling the use of scenario and sensitivity analysis to forecast possible outcomes.
- Provide competitive merchant card pricing proposals for new merchant accounts and RFP’s while ensuring that WFMS manages both profitability and expenses.
- Analyze various financial documents including competitor’s statements, interchange schedules, merchant statements, competitive offers, cost comparisons and Proforma’s.
- Responsible for understanding the regulation and compliance changes made by the Payment Networks and its impact to our Pricing Tools, pricing policies and strategies.
- Must be able to understand the basic components of pricing to manipulate both the web-based application and various Pricing Tools.
- Required to work with several internal customers: various Sales Channels (Small Business Banking, Commercial and Corporate), the Account Management team, Products, Credit/Risk and Finance.
- Responsible for identifying and resolving pricing issues and may also participate in special projects as assigned by their manager.
- A Pricing Analyst is both responsible and accountable for promoting and following the pricing policies and procedures of WFMS.
- Manage a high traffic group email box. The ability to respond to emails, questions and add requests quickly and efficiently to an excel based log sheet.
