What you'll do

As part of the team responsible for devloping one of the services (ArgoCDaaService) in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) your key responsibilities will include:
• Do research and prototyping in the domain of cloud development and cloud platform itself
• Validate and integrate ArgoCD product as service in BTP
• Developing Kubernetes operators with Golang as part of the service
• Be responsible for the CI/CD process
• Use good development practices like writing clean code, participate in the code review process, write unit and integration tests, etc.
• Implementing integration tests
• Executing activitivities helping the smooth operation of the service like installation, update, monitoring, resolving incidents, root cause analyses
• Working closely with other teams in SAP using this service
• Collaborating with ArgoCD and Gardener project communities

What you bring

• Experience in cloud applications development
• Golang programming
• Knowledge in GitOps model
• Knowledge in CI/CD tools like Jenkins(Piper)
• Linux knowledge
• Overall Kubernetes knowledge
• Writing operators in Kubernetes
• Knowledge in templating tools like Helm, Kustomize
• Knowledge about cloud providers (for example AWS)
• Analythical and problem solving thinkng
• Self-driven and motivated, fast learner
