McAfee is looking for an experienced Technical Data Steward to join our Enterprise Analytics team and play a central role in advancing our enterprise data management strategy. This role is ideal for a data-driven professional with a talent for transforming business needs into precise technical requirements. As a Technical Data Steward, you will be responsible for managing logical data models, overseeing metadata, and collaborating with our ingestion and curation teams to ensure data integrity and governance.This role requires a deep understanding of:
- Logical data modeling
- Complex metadata management
- Developing, managing, and aligning technical data requirements
- Data curation
- Data governance

• Collaborate with business leaders to define requirements and priorities and to proactively understand and update metric logic and definition.
• Develop technical requirements (e.g., aggregation level, granularity) based on metrics established by business teams.
• Design logical data model and orchestration requirements.
• Own and manage logical data model for the Enterprise Analytics team in tandem with ingestion and curation leads.
• Oversee data catalog entries and enforce data cataloging rules.
• Manage access controls for end data products.
• Manage change requests to the structure, definitions and/or security of identified data objects.
• Communicate with the Business Data System Owner and Business Data Steward on metric updates.
• Act as escalation point for Data Quality Analysts when defined processes are insufficient to resolve issues.

• Bring 3+ years of experience in data engineering or data analysis
• Have hands-on experience with and understanding of the following: SQL; Python or other programming language; Databricks or other cloud data management platform; technical and business data cataloging; logical data modeling, including experience designing logical data models; ETL/ELT tools such as Apache Airflow; and data dictionary development.
• Bring proven experience in data management, requirements management, and metadata management.
