Vulnerability Research Lead, Vulnerability Assessments

Hybrid model: 2 days office/3 days remote

Your key responsibilities

As a Vulnerability Research Lead at EY, your primary role will be to guide analysts in the research and analysis of vulnerabilities, using multiple information sources to make the most informed decisions. You will interpret technical data to provide actionable intelligence, prioritize vulnerabilities by severity and exploitability, and collaborate with the Service Line Support team to recommend remediation strategies to stakeholders. You will stay updated on cybersecurity trends to improve research capabilities, document findings, prepare risk reports, and consult in incident response as needed.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in vulnerability research, information security, or a related cybersecurity role.

  • Experience conducting threat-informed vulnerability analysis

  • Extensive experience conducting structured analysis and leveraging analytical techniques

  • Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, databases, and software vulnerabilities

  • Familiarity with industry frameworks and standards such as OWASP, NIST, and CVE

  • Demonstrated experience assessing and communicating the risk of vulnerabilities to all levels within an organization

  • An ability to develop strategic initiatives to address high risk environmental issues

  • An interest and aptitude for engaging stakeholders and developing a functional network of subject matter experts

  • Proficiency developing non-traditional solutions to complex challenges

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Threat Intelligence experience

  • 2+ years of incident response experience
