Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Software Engineer (multiple openings) in Tempe, AZ.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Software Engineer (multiple openings) is responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating, and maintaining products. This position designs and develops highly scalable distributed batch applications using Hadoop stack which includes Map Reduce, Hive, HBase and Java to process historical data and upload results to no SQL database to enable the access for refined data to web services. Specific duties include: (1) develop scalable and REST full webservices; (2) be adept with agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles; (3) run code quality check during development phase using tools including sonarQube and run regression test reports before every production to make applications as fault tolerant and come with mismatches from existing workflow behavior; (4) work in entire system development life cycle namely Requirement Analysis, Design, Testing, Deployment and maintenance; (5) follow SAFE Agile methodologies and participated in Pl planning, Iteration planning to estimate efforts; (6) implement components for re-usability and contributing to Enterprises inner-source code; and (7) work with java 8, Functional programming, Distributed & Multithreading Collections Framework, Micro services, Apache camel, Spring boot, Hibernate, REST and SOAP web service, AngularJS, Java Script, shell scripting, Hadoop, spark, HBase, Kafka, Tableau, Oracle, Maven, Git, Junit and ECP; and (8) develop Micro services with Spring Boot and Apache camel based Restful API’s interacting through a combination of REST, SOAP and Apache Kafka message brokers.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience developing scalable and REST full webservices.

Required Skills/Experience:
Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: (1) running code quality check during development phase using tools including sonarQube and run regression test reports before every production to make applications as fault tolerant and come with mismatches from existing workflow behavior; (2) working in entire system development life cycle namely Requirement Analysis, Design, Testing, Deployment and maintenance; (3) following SAFE Agile methodologies and participated in Pl planning, Iteration planning to estimate efforts; (4) implementing components for re-usability and contributing to Enterprises inner-source code; and (5) working with java 8, Functional programming, Distributed & Multithreading Collections Framework, Micro services, Apache camel, Spring boot, Hibernate, REST and SOAP web service, AngularJS, Java Script, shell scripting, Hadoop, spark, HBase, Kafka, Tableau, Oracle, Maven, Git, Junit and ECP. All experience may have been gained concurrently.

This position is with U.S. Bank National Association, a U.S. Bank company.

Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $151,757 - $166,932.
