As a Wealth Management, UHNW Banker in the Australia Market team, you will focus on ultra-high-net-worth team members and families, as well as institutions. You will manage all aspects of client relationships, develop and maintain long-term relationships, and actively prospect and acquire new clients. You will work closely with other team members to deliver solutions for clients and identify new business opportunities. This role provides an opportunity to build a portfolio of clients using the resources and expertise of JPMorgan™'s platforms, products, services, and networks.
Job Responsibilities
- Focus on ultra-high-net-worth (Principal Business) individuals and families in Australia, as well as the largest Endowments and Foundations in Australia, with coverage out of Singapore
- Manage all aspects of client relationship, develop and maintain long-term relationships through strong personal networks and contacts. Build portfolio of clients using personal and professional networks in Australia, leveraging the resources and expertise of JPMorgan’s platforms, products, services, and networks
- Actively involved in prospecting and acquiring new clients, cultivating prospect lists, building trust and credibility with prospects resident in Australia, and actively converting them into clients and deepen relationships
- Work in close partnership with Investors in proposing, delivering, and executing solutions for clients; as well as in identifying new business opportunities
- Maintaining client relationships, answering clients’ enquiries, day-to-day account operations, update clients regularly on markets, portfolio performance, investments opportunities, risks. Work together with other teams in meeting all compliance, operational, and due diligence requirements.
- May require regular travel into Australia to foster relationships, as well as working closely with our partners in Australia onshore, including Private Bank Prospectors and our Corporate and Investment Bank colleagues to identify possible client sourcing channels and partnership opportunities
- Demonstrate ability to create differentiated events for UHNW Australian clients. Oversee private client relationships by providing strategic advice based on each client’s wealth objectives. Provide access to specialists and manage clients’ investment portfolios, and responsible for working with other team members on client sponsorship / Know Your Client.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- University bachelor degree holder in any discipline.
- Minimum 12 years' of professional experience in a similar Relationship Manager capacity at another Private Bank or wealth management firm, covering the Australia market. Alternatively, you may come from a different industry with good network of UHNW clients and demonstrated a good track record in business development, sales management and relationship management.
- Strong presentation skills, an excellent communicator with client facing experience and existing UHNW Australian client relationship
- Understand and have working knowledge of the private banking key regulatory and control environments that are relevant to the team and be able to manage the accounts accordingly. Operate with a high level of integrity and risk awareness.
- Strong understanding of the needs and sensitivities of clients (private individuals and families)
- Strong knowledge of local Australian wealth management market and local preferences of UHNW clients specifically
- Proven track record on investment sales and / or relationship management performance.
- Detail-oriented and results-focused.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Appropriate local regulatory qualification and licenses preferred. However, if you do not possess an existing Representatives Notification Framework (RNF) Register in Singapore, you will be required to sit for Client Advisor Competency Standards (CACS) Paper 1 & 2, in order to get registered as a Representative with Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) for the private banking industry.
