The team you'll be part of

R&D Architecture (RDA) comprises capturing of business, operational, technical, and non- functional requirements from stakeholders and delivering an architecture to meet the defined needs and constraints. The scope of work includes processing of use case and feature requirements into conceptual models, operational scenarios, technical requirements, and functional descriptions. RDA has a broad system and product architecture competence and ecosystem understanding.

What you will learn and contribute to

Take objective architecture and design decisions for the product considering the vision, facts on the ground (product/organizational considerations) and customer requirements

Capability to the design of products with high availability, reliability and performance requirements

Capability to visualise and drive various non-functional requirements like: Robustness, resiliency, maintainability and operability

Contribute to the design of a scalable product architecture which can support customers' scalability requirements that are typical of cloud native architectures

Help develop a product architecture that can accommodate software contributions from 100s of developers without compromising on the requirements, future vision and maintainability

Evolve a product architecture wherein the “core” product functionality and project specific flavours can be differentiated and delivered and maintained independently

Take considered decisions based on technical inputs from various stakeholders

Your skills and experience

You have:

At least 10 years' experience as a software professional

At least 5 years' development experience in industry grade programming languages like C/C++, JAVA, Go etc.

Experience of large-scale real-time database development and/or architecture specification. Preferably in telecom domain.

The role requires a hands-on approach with an ability to understand and collate requirements from various sources, create clear analysis results, high-level design documents and support the implementation phases through to the release

Ability to contribute in the E2E test strategy and active participation in various testing phases of the product

Ability to pilot new technology/methodology adaptation by detailed studies, PoCs and concept papers etc

It would be nice if you also had:

At least 5 years' experience of multi-process and/or multi-threaded application development for containerized application microservices

At least 5 years' experience as an R&D software architect

Experience of cloud native architecture specification, particularly with Docker/CRI-O/KATA containers on Kubernetes container management environment on Linux

Experience in defining system performance requirements, performance testing, tuning, dimensioning for complex products

High availability real time databases experience will be a plus

Master's degree or other postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject
