The BTP HANA & Persistency organization is a global organization dedicated to delivering data management solutions that address customers’ unique and competitive business requirements.

You will work in a multinational team responsible for security-relevant services, as well as the overall security and compliance posture of the BTP HANA & Persistency portfolio.

What you will do

As a Development Architect Security, you will be mainly responsible for:

• Design and implement DevOps security architecture and best practices for SAP HANA Cloud
• Work closely with a team of DevOps and compliance automation engineers to architect and maintain robust, secure and scalable microservices that serve critical security functions for SAP HANA Cloud
• Lead the design and implementation of infrastructure as code (IaC) security practices
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional and internal development teams
• Evaluate emerging technologies, best practices and industry standards, assess their potential for SAP HANA Cloud and consult on their introduction
• Provide ongoing support for deployed microservices, ensuring optimal availability, performance, and security
• Be a technical mentor to less experienced DevOps and Automation engineers within the team for their proper skill and mindset development
• Translate strategy and goals into technology

What you bring

• A degree in computer science, information security or a related field
• Proven experience in developing and operating microservices in cloud native environments
• Strong background in DevOps and/or Architecture practices, and Security Engineering
• A proactive approach to tackling complex tasks, with attention to security, performance, observability, and code quality
• Experience with Kubernetes and public clouds (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automating security controls
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform, public cloud native services)
• Understanding of respective security and compliance requirements
• Strong collaborative mindset to position the services
• Very good language skills in English (written and verbal)
