Join our Strategic Event Marketing team in Hong Kong, where you'll focus on the strategic direction and content delivery of client events for Platform Sales. You'll work with business and event partners to develop strategic event marketing plans, lead project work streams, and create ad hoc reporting. You'll also collaborate with colleagues across various functions such as the wider Events team, Compliance, Marketing & Communications team, sales and product partners and senior management. This role reports to the Head of Platform Sales Event Marketing, Asia Pacific and requires periodic travel within the region.
As a Platform Sales Event Marketing, Vice President in the Event Marketing team in Hong Kong, you will focus on strategic direction and content delivery of client events for Platform Sales (Securities Services, Prime Finance and Clearing, including Capital Advisory Group). Your role will be pivotal in supporting the business in efforts to increase client business, deepen client relationships and promote efficiencies. You will collaborate with business and event partners to develop strategic event marketing plans, content and protocol, lead project work streams, and create ad hoc reporting. You will independently promote stakeholder discussions and events, while also supporting team members on other events. You will also be expected to partner with colleagues across other functions such as the wider Events team, Compliance, Marketing & Communications team, sales and product partners and senior management. This role will report into the Head of Platform Sales Event Marketing, Asia Pacific. Periodic travel within Asia Pacific will be required for the role.
Job responsibilities:
- Understand business strategy and target audience, create a comprehensive event marketing strategy aligned with business objectives
- Focus on building and driving stakeholder engagement across business functions, event partners and extended regional & global teams
- Lead efforts in all work related to events - content development, event planning, formatting of speaker slides, budgeting, translation, time management, onsite support, event measurement and reporting. The candidate may support other Platform Sales events and leverage expertise, content and share practices for greater efficiencies.
- Oversee the development of event agendas with business partners including interaction with internal and external speakers, entertainment and venue research, audio visual requirements, and briefing memos.
- Provide support across J.P. Morgan Platform Sales sponsorships as well as industry conferences and events, ensuring benefits are delivered, effectively leveraged and executed flawlessly
- Adhere to internal policy and the mandatory processes around strategic event marketing and corporate meetings and events including procedures with regards to budget approval, reporting activities and spend, compliance regulations, approval processes and ensuring appropriate documentation is in place
- Understand current and future business needs, follow industry trends to understand new or related content. Be the reliable advisor to business partners managing changing strategic priorities and stakeholder requirements
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or equivalent
- Proven experience as an event marketer with strong project management and team player skills to manage an event end-to-end, and flexibility to support team members with their events when necessary
- Ability to multi-task and understand priorities/workflows. Self-motivated, proactive team player with strong work ethic and demonstrates initiative.
- Strategic thinker who understands and supports the goals of the business. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills and confident in being an ambassador to internal clients
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and influence effectively across all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Excel, Word & PowerPoint, and savvy with technology
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in marketing or event planning, experience in financial industry is an advantage
- Excellent English communication skills, and fluency in speaking, reading and writing Mandarin would be an advantage
