Description
In this technical role, you will be responsible for automation development and characterization of state-of-the-art wireless SoC products. You will develop the bringup infrastructure at the center of a silicon design group as well as the characterization, regression, and reporting framework.- Design and implement Python-based bringup, integration, and debug environment.- Design and implement Python-based characterization, regression, and reporting framework.- Implement golden calibration algorithms for wireless transceivers in automation infrastructure.- Bringup and validate algorithms on real silicon alongside PHY, MAC, RFIC, and digital circuit designers.- Develop and implement test plans; collect and analyze test result; identify, root-cause, and debug issues.
Key Qualifications
- This is an individual technical contributor role that requires industry experience in integration, bringing up and productization of wireless communication systems.
- Understanding of communication theory and radio calibration algorithms (such as power control and RF impairment mitigation).
- Experience using and understanding of the theory of operation of lab equipment (spectrum analyzer, signal generator, network analyzer, power meter).
- Experience developing test automation including equipment drivers, debug tools, automation scripts, database interfaces, and reporting tools.
- Knowledge in existing wireless communication protocols: LTE/WCDMA/GSM, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be, 802.11ad/ay, or Bluetooth/BLE.
- Extensive Experience with Python, Matlab, Shell scripting, and/or C/C++.
- Experience with automation infrastructure development (traceability, repeatability) and related tools (GIT, CI, database, reporting tools).
Education & Experience
Minimum qualification is BS+ 3 years of relevant experience.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500 and $243,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
