JOB DESCRIPTION

Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist –

This is a hybrid role, 4 + 1 days model.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversees the strategy implementation of strategic sourcing and coordinates the operational execution.

Partners with Category and SBG leaders to execute the strategy and drive the projects to completion.

Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress, partners with internal and external stakeholders to remove barriers for success.

Manage expectations with internal stakeholders, successful communications to escalate for help.

Understanding of demand planning, production scheduling and product testing requirements.

Drive supplier consolidation in the region and utilize PSL to further that strategy.

Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.

Support the team to meet productivity, quality, and delivery goals

  • Partner closely with each of the 4 (four) SBG Integrated Supply Chain organizations to ensure early sourcing engagement, alignment on key sourcing objectives and effective execution of sourcing projects
  • Identify strategic partners, negotiate contracts and develop a Preferred Supplier List with competitive rate cards
  • Manage Supplier selection, RFQ and RFI process, Negotiation, Contracting and supplier performance processes
  • Measure and manage supplier performance (KPI’s); Savings, Payment Terms, Service Levels
  • Consistently deliver year-over-year productivity, payment term improvements
  • Deploy a regular and effective engagement model with key stakeholders that provides consistent communication and alignment
  • Drive and execute the Annual and Strategic Plan with supporting strategies; align business and Sourcing initiatives to optimize and deliver year-over-year results
  • Coordinate Sourcing support for functional requirements between the Category team (CST) and the Global Sourcing and Procurement Operations team

  • Apply effective Sourcing supplier risk assessment methodologies to ensure supplier continuity

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • 6+ years of experience Commodity Management/Procurement experience. Mainly experience in Casting , Machining, sheet metal ,Rubber plastics etc
  • Experience in developing Supply Base Management strategies with a proven record of delivering key business results
  • Strong negotiation skills, fluent in drafting contract terms and conditions
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Project Management and/or Contract Management Experience

  • Professional Certifications in Project/Supply Chain/ Procurement/Contract Management
  • Demonstrated Business and financial acumen

Experience with SAP or site relevant ERP systems, E Sourcing Platforms, Request for Quotation Tools, Project Management Tools

Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Tools

Independent and strategic thinker who is highly motivated with boundless energy to get stuff done
