SAP Design System Developer

We’re seeking a talented and experienced Design System Developer to join our dynamic team at SAP Build Apps. In this role, you will play an essential part in driving the vision of our design system and developing it further. You will work in close co-operation with the Design System Lead, designers and developers to ensure consistency and efficiency. You will act as an advocate and point of contact for all development teams regarding the design system and own technical decisions and development guidelines related to it.

What you bring:

• A passion for frontend development and creating intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
• Vision for and proven experience in developing and maintaining design systems.
• A strong understanding of React, TypeScript, JavaScript and CSS. Experience with Web Components and Storybook are considered pluses.
• A genuine interest in taking ownership of our component library and developing it according to the latest industry trends and best practices, including web and accessibility standards.
• An organized approach and attention to detail when it comes to development and creating and maintaining documentation.
• Excellent communication skills and and an ability to lead and work collaboratively in a global team environment.
