As a Reference Data Manager - Vice President in our data center team, you will play a crucial role in our operations. Your responsibilities will include daily third-party price capture and validation of bond prices, analyzing price movements, and liaising with vendors to resolve issues. You will also prepare daily pricing summaries and month-end reports. In addition, you will have the opportunity to handle client queries, participate in meetings, escalate issues to supervisors, contribute to process developments, and engage in ad-hoc projects. Job responsibilities:

  • Daily third-party price capture & validation of bond prices versus multiple market sources, and analyze price movements against market news and expectations.
  • Liaise with pricing vendor to resolve issues, minimize risk, and monitor systems for job success, resolving issues with technology teams.
  • Prepare and send daily pricing and market impact summaries with supporting market news, and generate month-end Index rebalance and composition reports.
  • Produce and analyze valuation movements within client portfolios on a daily and monthly basis, completing all tasks and reporting accurately and to deadline.
  • Resolve client (Global Index Research Group) queries promptly and professionally, and participate in client monthly meetings.
  • Escalate all issues promptly and effectively to supervisor, and contribute to ongoing developments of the pricing control process.
  • Engage in ad-hoc project work as directed.

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • Bring minimum 10 years of experience in Fixed Income related roles, with previous experience in managing teams, and a strong understanding of stocks, bonds, options, and financial markets and products.
  • Knowledge of industry activities, including corporate actions, index benchmarking, stock markets, and fixed income products, along with pricing vendor knowledge such as Bloomberg and Reuters.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables and v-lookups, a mathematical mindset with strong numerical skills, and strong analytical/problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, able to work accurately under pressure to meet deadlines, effectively communicate within a team environment, interact across departments, and work independently while multi-tasking.
