This role requires cross functional interaction with Sourcing, Manufacturing and Quality team members to ensure the quality goals set forth by the business are met.
Essential Responsibilities
Champion electro-magnetic design, field support and verification efforts, including compliance and standards testing and system compatibility verification to meet the requirements of MRI products
Work with suppliers and engineering team members to develop design alternatives to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability
Establish and maintain performance, quality, vitality, and reliability for the MRI products
Provide technical leadership for electro-magnetic design activities within assigned programs, including estimating schedule and resource requirements, product cost, requirements development, status reports, etc.
Take on project leadership responsibilities as needed to support Program leader on the assigned projects
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Science, Physics or related technical field
- 10+ years of experience in project design within a manufacturing, development, or research environment.
- Demonstrated experience in any of the following disciplines: Electrical Engineering, Hardware testing and Design Verification
- Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams, strong influencing, and communication skills
- Demonstrated understanding/experience with new product development or design change development cycle
Desired Characteristics
- Experience in superconducting magnet & cryogenics
- Creative problem solver and solution developer when presented with conflicting requirements, business demands and technical risks/issues
- Demonstrated skills in proactively identifying, facilitating, and driving closure of project tasks

- Knowledge of GE Healthcare engineering tools and processes.
- Previous experience working with medical devices
