Job summary

As a Fixed Income Portfolio Management Associate (Rates) within Asset Management, you will provide direct support to portfolio managers in position management and liquidity management, as well as formulate rate strategies on fixed income portfolios. This role offers the opportunity to grow within the fixed income investment and research team as well as the broader Asset Management team.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the investment strategy formulated by the portfolio managers, select the individual securities suitable for the investment strategy, communicate with the trader to complete the trading of the bonds, and timely feedback on market changes.
• Assist portfolio managers to inspect the implementation of the investment strategy and asset allocations, optimizing portfolios which outperform client defined benchmarks utilizing relative macro and microeconomic analysis.
• Assist in position management and portfolio managers to do a good job in compliance risk control.
• Develop and effectively communicate market related views.
• Assist portfolio manager in customer service and completing various regular reports.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Master’s degree or above in Finance, Economics (or related field).
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant research or investment experience.
• Proficiency in modeling and analysis with appropriate software or tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive, self-motivated and ability to work independently or with the team
• Attainment of AMAC qualification
