Product Manager

As a Product Manager at JPMorgan Chase within the International Consumer Bank, you will be a part of a flat-structure organization. Your responsibilities are to deliver end-to-end cutting-edge solutions in the form of cloud-native microservices architecture applications leveraging the latest technologies and the best industry practices. You are expected to be involved in the design and architecture of the solutions while also focusing on the entire SDLC lifecycle stages.

Job responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of digital retail product initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and gather detailed technical requirements and implement innovative digital solutions.
  • Analyse market trends and customer needs to inform product development strategies.
  • Become the go-to person for your domain and Oversee the enhancement and optimization of digital retail products and services.
  • Ensure seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies and digital platforms.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of digital products, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Drive change management processes to facilitate a smooth transition to new digital strategies.
  • Act as a bridge between business needs and technical constraints
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members involved in product development.
  • Own and prioritize the technical product backlog, ensuring alignment with product vision, roadmap, and business objectives.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Extensive proven experience as a product owner , ideally within the digital retail product space cutting across customer operations.
  • Extensive experience in vendor management - including strong negotitation skills to secure favourable terms, experience in evaluation their performance and ability to build strong relationships to drive business outcome
  • In-depth knowledge of digital banking, retail product development, and emerging technologies and in-depth knowledge of the regulatory environment impacting digital banking and retail products.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully leading transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with digital transformation technologies such as cloud platforms and AI/ML.
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams, developers, and architects
  • Comprehensive understanding of market trends, customer behaviors, and competitive landscapes in the digital retail sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively to stakeholders
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategies to enhance digital retail products.
  • Familiarity with change management principles and the ability to navigate organizational transitions.
  • Exceptional communication skills to convey complex digital strategies and concepts.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale digital retail product transformations.
  • Extensive experience specifically within the digital retail product space with an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) in business, technology, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and implement disruptive technologies.
  • Strong network and relationships within the digital banking and retail industry.
  • Proficiency with data analytics tools to track product usage and performance metrics.
  • Expertise in leveraging data analytics and insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
