As a Platform Engineer within IBM Client Engineering, you'll play a key role in delivering unique client co-creation experiences to accelerate their transformation. You'll be involved in all aspects of integrated solutions, from identifying requirements to making technical decisions that impact the business case. Your role as a Platform Engineer will be to work with cross-functional teams to realize the full potential of our hybrid cloud and AI solutions to prove business value to our clients.

* Leverage contemporary hybrid cloud skills (e.g., AI, analytics, DevOps, DevSecOps, IaC, automation, security, networking, and storage) with deep industry expertise and an understanding of your clients’ businesses.
* Participate in client sessions that include a range of public and hybrid cloud technologies, such as Red Hat OpenShift, IBM Cloud Paks, and Kubernetes.
* Support the solutions architecture plan and be a hands-on "builder" during client-facing engagements.
* Advice on solution architecture to align with platform best practices, with a focus on our clients target environment to ease transition to deployment.
* Work with deployment teams to transition platform assets and information to provide seamless transitions for our client
* Hands-on experience with a wide range of cloud and AI technologies.
* Practical knowledge and direct experience with virtualized on-premise and cloud-based computing platforms.
* Experience in building application and infrastructure deployment automation workflows.
* Proven track record in participating in customer-facing technical solutions teams across various cloud architectures.
* Technical experience in a cloud-related domain such as Data/Analytics, Data Science, Security, or other cloud-native, hybrid, or public-cloud technology.
* Understanding and practical application of Agile best practices.
* Proficient in at least one common cloud native programming language (Java, Python, HCL, Rust, Ansible, etc.)
