Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public policy, public administration, or a related fieldAND6+ years of work experience in Government Affairs, Corporate Affairs, or Public Policy.
    • ORequivalent experience.
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills with fluency in both English and Chinese languages.
  • Adept diplomatic skills with demonstrated capability to manage geopolitical challenges, and to engage with high-ranking governmental authorities, research/academic institutions, community, or relevant industry associations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in developing and managing strategic relationships to advocate and influence public/technology policy priorities, especially on national security, cybersecurity and technology resilience.
  • The ideal candidate will have both public and private sector experience in institutions like the government, a multilateral organization, a corporate government affairs office, an industry association, coalition or equivalent group, and/or a policy-focused research institution.
  • Ability to counsel senior business leadership in the company with demonstrated capability to build and execute public policy programs that support business growth and policy objectives.
Responsibilities
  • Facilitatethe resolution ofgovernmentregulatory/policybarriersagainst Microsoftby collaborating with senior executives within legal and non-legal organizations. Educate executive-level stakeholders on government/regulatory requirements and policy landscape implications.Stayclosely connectedwith regional and US Government Affairs teams andlead/participatein
  • Strategy/Program Management:Anticipateand address novel issues and opportunities in a rapidly changing environment. Provide advice and counsel to executive management on complex and critical issues. Lead the formation of Microsoft’s policy agenda and positions.
