What you need to know about the role-


Your day to day

In your day to day role you will -

  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis for potential issues and/or closed incidents across Credit Operational Risk & Strategy (CORS) Programs while expanding your knowledge of their processes and controls.

  • Collaborate with other Business Risk and Control Leads and business owners to align on ownership & remediation plans for both CORS and upstream issues, ensuring adequate resources are in place to manage operational impacts

  • Engage with Second Line of Defense Teams as part of Issue Management & Remediation Planning.

  • Develop a deeper understanding of the Business Risk and Control Leads role in the Control Environment and PayPal’s Risk Taxonomy.

  • Support other BRCL related tasks & activities associated with Management & Mitigation of Risk for the Credit, Operational Risk and Strategy Organisation.

  • Communication Skills: Strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to drive fruitful discussion with internal and external stakeholders to devise and execute on remediation plans, leveraging your experience and knowledge of Credit, Operational Risk & Strategy products and programs.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to deep-dive problem statements to identify root cause and partner with the business to understand their needs when determining best solutions.

  • Attention to Detail: Proficient in Microsoft Office with knowledge of our internal systems & tools, comfortable reviewing and interpreting policies & procedures, ideally with good knowledge of multiple Credit, Operational Risk & Strategy products and programs.

What do you need to bring-

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or 4 years relevant experience

  • Experience - 1 to 4 years of total experience.

  • Technical understanding of the end to end risk life cycle and issue/incident management process and experience in credit risk and understanding of our credit products and industry practices/tools knowledge.

  • Strong communication skills will be key, with an ability to navigate through challenging conversations to determine ownership, rememediation tasks and timely resolution.

  • Strong technical knowledge of tool usage and ability to assess end to end risk and report out on tending of the portfolio they are responsible for.

  • Seeking a candidate who demonstrates positive energy, self starter, works cohesively within a team and is not afraid to apply grit and determination to push through challenging situations, raise red flags and highlight when help is required but also will lean in to support the team.
