Intel Fault Isolation Engineer

In this position, you will be performing Fault Isolation and Failure Analysis. The goal is to characterize and isolate failure from the tester/system signature down to a single failing node or transistor, employing a wide array of DFx (including Scan/ATPG) and test tools, complemented with your knowledge of computer architecture, logic, circuit/VLSI, process, and device physics.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
Minimum Qualifications:

• The candidate must possess a bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or related field.

• Minimum 1 year of experience with: failure analysis, debug (hardware debug) or relevant semiconductor area.

• Programming experience, including Unix, Windows, Perl/TCL, Python, C and/or Visual Basic.

• Intermediate English level.

• Costa Rican unrestricted work permit.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Upper Intermediate to Advanced English level.

• Knowledge of Design for Test features.

• Knowledge of Semiconductor fabrication, assembly, and test.

• Knowledge of logic and VLSI design with exposure to Verilog and VCS.

• Experience with ATE Testers and/or optical probers is a major plus.
