Government and Public Sector –Project Manager – Research, Development, & Analytics
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead development and maintenance of a set of dashboards and reports for tracking project deliverables against objectives and value metrics, specially focused on increasing innovation capacity for the client and the firm.
- Develop and maintain common templates for dashboard and report generation. Monitor and improve innovation processes and procedures. Train team members on improved processes.
- Liaise with clients and other project team members to track performance across all programs.
- Support program planning by looking across the portfolio at requirements, scope, and resources to provide analysis for preferred implementation plans and schedules based on value delivered to client and the firm.
- Take lead with project teams to gather all levels of project plans and new business ideas; integrate plans and ideas into a project management system, e.g. “backlog” or “parking lot” management.
- Lead research and feasibility studies, write whitepapers and perform risk analysis of innovative opportunities and provide leadership and clients with an understanding of the current recommended actions to address across the portfolio.
- Lead client liaison meetings as a domain expert offering valuable knowledge and assistance to clients in specified knowledge area(s).
- Regularly attend training and education events, such as industry symposiums and technology demonstrations, in support of the client and the firm.
- Articulate and communicate the value gain offered by the portfolio.
- Work with other projects managers and/or analysts, and stakeholders to ensure that all system data is accurate.
- Assist in writing and developing whitepapers based on ideas generated both internally and for clients for research and development purposes, including "what-if " analysis.
- Assist in forecasting value performance through feasibility studies and perform risk analysis of innovation opportunities and provide management with an understanding of the current recommended actions to address across the portfolio.
- Support program planning by looking across the portfolio at requirements, scope, and resources to provide domain expertise for opportunity implementation plans based on value delivered to client and the firm.
- Assist in ensuring management understanding of innovation processes, including tools and methodologies.
- Assist in developing innovation management processes, both internally to the firm and externally with clients.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed to develop and manage schedule and ad-hoc requests.
- Challenge the status quo of standard project-based client-product delivery.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor's degree
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
- Minimum 7 years of related experience
- Highly proficient with reporting/dashboarding tools, such as Microsoft PowerBI, and proficiency to include data system integrations and data visualized storytelling.
- Experience providing analysis for Project Management support preferably for system implementations in the Federal government.
- Highly proficient in use of MS Project, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio.
- Experience with DHS clients is preferred, especially CBP and TSA.
- Demonstrated ability to balance technical/cost/schedule constraints.
- Experience with robotic process automation (RPA) tools and techniques is preferred.
- Experience with Innovation Management techniques and Innovation Life Cycle is a plus.
- Good working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies is preferred.
- Highly Proficient with Jira and/or other agile-supportive project management tools.
- Experience with product design and prototyping is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong ability to distill complicated business and technology processes into consumable knowledge for leadership decision-making.
- Direct knowledge in the fields of aviation security, physical security, biometrics, physical identity, digital identity, access control, or security technology is a plus.
- Good working knowledge of TSA’s Registered Traveler (RT) and TSA PreCheck® programs, CBP’s Trusted Traveler Program including Global Entry, and airport/aviation security procedures and regulations is a plus.
- Experience performing customer experience (CX) analysis and improvement recommendations.

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $124,300 to $227,900. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $149,200 to $259,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
