Job Description

What you will do:

Bring energy, knowledge, innovation and leadership to carry out the following:

• Maintain & calibrate all manufacturing and utility equipment & instrumentation according to the RCM and PM program.
• Fault find, resolve Process and utility equipment & instrumentation issues/breakdowns and provide written reports on equipment so that equipment is available to meet the manufacturing and development schedules.
• Troubleshooting and maintaining process plant and equipment & instrumentation, root cause analysis on system failures and equipment performance issues using standard tools and methods. Participate in and ultimately lead, problem solving activities e.g. FMEA, Fishbone diagrams, 5 why's etc.
• The technician is responsible for maintenance of production and utility equipment & instrumentation, carrying out all activities in a safe & compliant manner. The technician has a personal duty to escalate or resolve potential safety risks or safety observations.
• Follow all site safety, quality and maintenance procedures in the execution of their work in all areas.
• Day to day housekeeping/5S to ensure that work areas are left in a Safe and GMP condition upon completion of work
• Undertake development assignments that requireequipment/maintenanceexpertise such as energy management programme, project support, risk assessment programme, reliability and OEE initiatives etc.
• Support Projects from a maintenance perspective during equipment installations as required.
• Undertake further training as required to enhance skills
• Assist in developing maintenance routines and critical spares listings for new equipment.
• Logging of task information through site CMMS and self issuing of spare parts through the spare parts inventory management system.
• The technician has a responsibility for continuous improvement of performance metrics both in identification and implementation of improvement ideas and will take part in or lead continuous improvement activities such as RCA, 5S, Kaizen, KATA, Standardization of Work etc. Areas of focus will include cost reduction, process efficiency, plant efficiency, safety, waste minimisation etc.

What skills you will need:

In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:

• Electrical, Electrical & instrumentation or Instrumentation trade qualified with minimum 2 years post qualifying experience.
• Strong knowledge of Pharmaceutical plant equipment and systems in the areas of electrical, instrumentation, pneumatic, control and power systems. Ex and IP rating of Equipment.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team environment
• Strong troubleshooting and structured problem solving skills (electrical, PLC)
• Knowledge and experience of Safety and Health, LOTO, Hot Work and permit systems
• Knowledge and experience of equipment installation practice and Equipment validation
• Materials and spare parts system knowledge.
• Familiar with Maintenance documentation, records and drawings.
