Partner management teamis supporting partners in delivering RISE offering. Team manages the relations and the complete lifecyle of partners from strategy to support.
- The Partner Management Organization has the following priorities:
- Build and operate a world-class, efficient, and reliable organization to support our partner-delivered customers' journey toward their next-generation business
- Help SAP customers realize the innovation power of SAP HANA and the SAP Cloud on a continuous basis
- Accelerate innovations on the SAP HANA platform (SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA, industries, and high value apps)
- Ensure the provisioning of system landscapes, installation of applications, and performance of upgrades & migrations by partners
- Provide project management and technology consulting for all partner-delivered ECS Projects
- Act as the main interface to the customer project team to ensure effective communication
The Role:
As a Technical Project Manager, you are responsible for the following tasks:
- Involve in partner-delivered engagements during onboarding, from the sales-to-delivery handover to the handover to Customer Engagement.
- Become a single point of contact for the customer, being in continuous alignment with the partner and responsible for the technical project management during build phase
- You will be the escalation contact during build phase.
- You will have quality, time and budget control during build phase.
- Manage Change Requests and manage various issue during build phase.
- Become an owner of a repository for all build related tasks (project/handover templates etc.)
- Become a main contact for the creation of the complete SAP Cloud powered by SAP HANA system landscape and you understand the customer’s needs.
- Your passion is the implementation and migration of different solutions and technologies including the design, configuration and operation of the perfect solution landscape with the newest technologies, products and innovations.
- Ensure the alignment with all relevant units (e.g. customer, partner, Global Partner Delivery Director, RISE Partner Operations Management, RISE Partner Center of Expertise, Enterprise Cloud Success Manager, etc.).
- Provide onsite presence for SAP as required to ensure effective project delivery.
- Support continuous improvements for all related partner delivery processes with feedback from critical customer situations.
Required skills:
- Demonstrate IT Project Management Competencies
- SAP BASIS skill is a prerequisite – SQL Tools, Migrations, Upgrade/Updates
- Very good understanding of SAP HANA and SAP Cloud technology topics
- Experience securing and accrediting cloud hyper-scaler hosted systems and services
- Strong experience in upgrade / migration, provider transition or global roll-out projects
- Strong track record in managing customers and/or partners
- Strong technology/solution background plus strong business acumen
- Strong intercultural business and team skills, with proven ability to effectively manage a virtual, multi-cultural/ cross-functional team
- Good overview of the SAP RISE, Cloud Offerings
- Be able to lead Quality Assurance reviews and Lessons Learned sessions (internally/externally)
- Experience as a ramp-up coach or SPoC for customer related escalations
- Actively manage project escalations
- Strong communication and presentation skills and good stakeholder management capabilities
- A team player, proactive networking attributes, results and execution focused
- Strong intercultural business and team skills, with proven ability to effectively manage a virtual, multi-cultural/ cross-functional team
- Fluent in English
- Japanese language skill at a business level or above is required
Preferred skills:
- Good overview of the SAP Enterprise Cloud Services Offerings
- Understanding of SAP Next Generation solutions and services (Analytics, BTP, Cloud, Mobility, HANA, Sybase)
- Perspective on current Cloud Hosting trends
- Be able to lead Quality Assurance reviews and Lessons Learned sessions (internally/externally)
Work experience:
- Total years of industry experience: 10 to 15 years
- Relevant Experience on customer facing, processes, de-escalations: min 4 to 6 years
