Description
PAYROLL OPERATIONS:- Ensure all aspects of payroll operations including timekeeping, payroll adjustments, tax and social security withholdings, deductions, and compliance with national (including federal, state, provincial and local regulations) are completed- Understanding of inbound flows ensuring accurate wage types exist and are working- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll operations as per company policies.- Ensure all special compensation payroll processing including bonuses, awards and tax gross-ups are processed timely and accurately.- Ensure taxes, pensions, Meal Vouchers, or any other employee deduction or employer obligation are reported and paid to applicable authorities/vendors accurately and timely- Review and approve payroll reports, reconciliations, purchase orders and tax filings to guarantee compliance with legal requirements and internal policies- Plan and execute year-end payroll processes, including End Year Statement processing and tax reporting- Develop and coach the team on processes, policies and systems/tools while creating a positive, collaborative and service focused environment- Create collaborative relationships with various stakeholders in People Support, People Ops, GPA, GPS, GPO, WFM, P2P, O2C, Ben Admin and LegalEnsure you and all team members are crossed trained in all aspects of payroll operations for backup support- Be able to process any payroll within your scope of responsibility if someone goes on leave or holiday.- Create and manage monthly & annual payroll calendars- Support and/or handle escalation cases or task- Close open cases when they have agedSYSTEM MANAGEMENT:- Collaborate with payroll service providers, vendors, and GPS to ensure smooth operation and resolve any issues promptly- Evaluate performance regularly and initiate improvements or changes as needed to optimize service delivery and cost-effectiveness- Participate in defining Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with external vendors and internal teams- Attend vendor meetings to provide feedback and understand any system changes- Participate in project requirements documentation and testing
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, human resources or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in payroll management or a similar accounting role.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, labour laws, taxation and statutory compliance in APAC and EMEA countries
  • Experience in handling payroll audits, inspections and compliance assessments.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems, such as SAP and/or ADP, with experience implementing and managing payroll systems.
  • Excellent understanding of financial principles and the ability to reconcile payroll with financial records.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing complex payroll calculation data.
  • Good organisational and time management skills to meet strict payroll deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organisation.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
