The Cloud Sourcing, Spares, Security and Sustainability (CS4) organization within CSCP manages sourcing, strategy, and suppliers to provide cost, flexibility, and supply advantages that enable our org to become a world-class supply chain. Well-defined and executed sourcing and supply chain management ensures reliable, on-time performance and optimized cost, prevents urgent and unplanned investments, and provides accurate and timely information across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure organization. Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 3+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 1+ year(s) supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with managing and reporting datasets.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 5+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 4+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience working in a similar industry.

Responsibilities
  • Meet regularly with assigned suppliers to reviewforecasts;capture supplycommitmentsand publish internally.
  • Review allPOs placed by MSFT System Integrators and assure compliance and supportability against our 3PL inventory positioning.
  • Manage metrics including days of supply, E&O, shortages within lead time and inventory exposure at each supplier to improve performance.
  • Work with Supply Chainand Capacity Planningteams on the timing and availability ofproduct transitionstoplan for platform end of life (minimizing E&O inventory) and ramp of new platforms.
  • Define inventory buffer targets (in conjunction withComponent Planning)and strategies based on historical usage andforecast anddefine financial risk/liability associated withsaid buffers.
  • Perform scenario analysisto understand impact ofcomponentshortages, demand upside/downside, etc. to Supply Plan of Record.
  • Track inventory through multiple stages and locations,lifetimevolumes and geo mapping ofcomponentbuild phases, hub and build sites.
  • Identifyprocess improvement opportunities and work with cross functional teams toimprove tools andprocessesto better meet our global demands.
