Key Qualifications
- Excellent skills in low-level programming expertise using C++, C and assembler, embedded systems proficiency, 32-bit micro-controllers ISR, real-time processing, and limited and shared resources.
- Strong skills in computer architecture, HW/SW co-verification, debugging using RTL simulation and SystemC environments as well as target HW.
- Experience with control of RF transceiver and RF front-end components for 4G/5G data path processing.
- Sound knowledge of communication theory, Wireless standards, Radio architecture and Interfaces.
- Deep understanding of software engineering principles, and core computer science fundamentals.
- Proficiency in debugging embedded software systems and familiarity with JTAG and ETM Trace tools.
Description
Specify, design, and implement the RF firmware architecture of an innovative mobile wireless communications system.Design, develop and optimize the RF processing algorithms pertaining to transceiver, RF front end, antenna tuners and other RF components in a cellular system.Implement RF device drivers and control software for RF transceivers and front-end components with precise timing requirements.Work with RF silicon designers to define RF transceiver architecture and support software computing requirements.Work with systems and IC designers to optimize power optimization for all RF circuitry in the cellular system.Verification of implemented firmware as well as investigations of critical RF issues in a cross-functional HW/FW working environment.BS and 3+ years of relevant industry experience required
Education & Experience
BS and 3+ years of relevant industry experience required.BSEE, MSEE/PhD preferred.

Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500.00 and $243,300.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
