Responsibilities
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day Payroll Operations including:
Payroll Processing and Operations:
Process off-cycle, fortnightly, and monthly payroll.
Prepare high-volume payroll inputs, timesheets, and documentation for new hires and leavers, ensuring timely submission to payroll vendors as per statutory requirements.
Manual validate and cross check computation Gross-to-Net Payroll Register (proration, allowances, deduction, bonuses) in compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley).
Submit payroll registers for manager approval within stipulated timelines.
Schedule and upload employees' net pay and government-related payments via the bank portal for approval.
Upload payslips and year-end documents to Workday using AWS.
Process weekly employee expense reimbursements via Workday.
Plan and prepare annual payroll calendars and year-end payroll tasks, including employee communications and workshops.
Employee Support and Compliance:
Address and resolve payroll inquiries and discrepancies through Zendesk.
Stay updated on laws and best practices to ensure compliance.
Support audit tasks for tax/finance teams as assigned
Perform other duties and ad hoc tasks contributing to the payroll goals.
Compliance, Reporting, and Administration
Prepare payroll reports, and statutory receipts as and when required by the Global Payroll Team
File statutory payment receipts, Gross-to-Net Payroll Registers, and other payroll documentation in respective country Google folders.
Update country payroll procedure manuals.
Provide monthly and ad-hoc Gross-to-Net Payroll Register and Journal Entry Reports to the Payroll Accounting Team.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
Minimum 8 years experience in payroll processing/operations with accounting knowledge.
Expertise in end-to-end payroll, including validation, compliance, and control.
Familiarity with payroll operations, tax regulations, and labor laws in Japan, India, Philippines, and Thailand.
Proven ability to handle multiple payroll entities with diverse requirements.
Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.
Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, and Workday.
Excellent verbal and written communication; skilled in handling confidential materials and comfortable asking for clarification when needed.
Adaptable to a fast-paced, culturally diverse environment; effective under pressure and tight deadlines.
Team player with strong stakeholder management.
Hybrid work setup in Ayala, Makati (3 days onsite per week).

Responsibilities:
Transition Planning and Execution: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive transition plans for new services and changes. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient execution of transition activities. Maintain a robust governance framework to ensure adherence to timelines and deliverables.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues related to transitions and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
Knowledge Transfer and Training: Organize training sessions and knowledge transfer activities to ensure Service Delivery teams are fully prepared to support changes to existing workflows or new services. This includes ensuring that all processes are thoroughly documented and easy to understand.
Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong collaboration with key stakeholders to understand their needs, educate them on the transition process, address any concerns, and ensure alignment and support for successful transition outcomes.
Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements during transitions and implement best practices to enhance service delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
Communication and Performance Monitoring: Ensure clear, concise, and timely communication with all stakeholders about transition plans, progress, updates, and any changes. Gather data on Service Delivery performance and transition progress, and share findings and recommendations.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of proven experience in HR service delivery, transition management, or a related role
Familiarity with Service Center technologies, such as ticket management, knowledge management, dashboards, and so on. If you have experience with Workday and/or Zendesk, that's a plus!
Strong organizational and project management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Amenable to work in a hybrid setup
Flexibility in schedule to accommodate meetings across multiple time zones
