Qualifications

• ​Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline
• 7+ years of software development experience using C, C++, go, Java orC# oran equivalent programming language
• Strong technical prowess, including understanding of algorithms, systems architecture, and end-user experience.
• Background of complex software systems.​

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

• ​Experience with internals of PostgreSQL or similar Enterprise Database Management system is a plus
• Experience building Distributed Systems
• 3+ years of experience developing andmaintaininghigh-performance libraries or software engineering​

As the Software Engineer 2, you willbe responsible forthe following:

• be responsible forbuilding and managing and innovating in the space of database migration solutions and helping grow the PostgreSQL business at Azure.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure coding standards are followed.
• Identify needs for a broad versus selected approach in testing mechanisms and make informed decisions to implement the most effective tests.
• Maintain operations of live service as issues arise on a rotational, on-call basis.​
