Roles and Responsibilities
Identify limitations and propose alternatives to make the physical structure of the GPU more scalable across product tiers and segments (value and premium tier mobile, compute).
Analyze and resolve issues related to the floorplan of the GPU. Understand the data flow across major buses and the implications for physical design, in particular for feedthroughs.
Identify issues and propose enhancements to the high-speed clocking methodology. Define the clock gating and clock distribution strategies.
Identify issues and propose enhancements to synthesis and place-and-route methodologies to support higher clock frequencies.
Minimum Qualifications
Physical design experience.
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field and 6 years of related work experience.
OR: Master's degree in electrical engineering or related field and 5 years of related work experience.
OR: Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering or related field and 4 years of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with high-speed CPU/GPU implementation methodologies: floorplan, clocking, RTL, synthesis, P&R, static timing analysis.
General understanding of circuit design.
Knowledge of GPU architecture, or ability to learn.
Understanding of power/thermal management.
Understanding of power delivery network.
Understanding of PBTI/NBTI, TDDB, HCI, and electromigration.
Programming and scripting skills, such as Python and Tcl.
Experience in working with RTL design and architecture teams.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

$151,000.00 - $227,000.00
