As a Wholesale Credit Risk - Technology, Media & Telecoms Vice President in the Technology, Media & Telecoms Team within Wholesale Credit Risk EMEA, you will cover clients for the Commercial & Investment Bank. You will work closely with business partners across the region, including Debt Capital Markets, Acquisition and Leveraged Finance, M&A, Corporate Bank, Markets, Treasury Services and Trade Finance covering a wide range of Leveraged (both Private Equity-owned and Corporate) and Commercial Banking Innovation Economy clients in the Technology, Media & Telecoms sectors. The role will benefit from flexible work arrangements, including work-from-home and office rotations.
Job responsibilities
- Lead the due diligence, credit analysis and financial modelling of credit counterparties, transactions & complex financing structures; drive the preparation of credit memos and make recommendations as to appropriate structure, risk appetite and grading.
- Work across a variety of products including secured and unsecured loans (e.g. acquisition financing, high yield bonds & bridges thereto, general corporate purposes loans or other event driven facilities), derivatives, trade and treasury products.
- Lead the structuring, negotiation and execution of loan documentation (leveraged and corporate style), derivatives and other facilities.
- Commit to development personally, build relationships with key internal & external stakeholders at a senior level and foster team knowledge. Coaching & training members of the Analyst and Associate community on both technical and professional skills.
- Manage credit risk portfolio including monitoring of credit ratings, sector trends and client performance.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Sound credit skills and judgment, with a proactive and flexible approach to coordinating the credit process and identifying risks.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of transaction structures, leveraged loan documentation and banking products sufficient to lead the negotiation and execution of new deal documentation and portfolio workstreams.
- Good interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills. Be able to establish credibility and trust with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in Sponsor deal financings or expertise in relevant Industrial sectors is highly beneficial.
- Ability to be a self-starter while being able to work effectively in a team environment, with proven coaching and development ability.
- Significant experience in a comparable environment.
