We need this CloudOps Engineer to bring fresh perspectives and modern cloud-native approaches to our embedded firmware infrastructure. This role will focus on building scalable cloud infrastructure for our OpenWrt-based firmware development pipeline, leveraging cutting-edge tools and AI-assisted development practices.
As a CloudOps Engineer, you will:
- Design and implement cloud-native CI/CD pipelines for embedded firmware using AWS services (ECS, Lambda, CodeBuild, CodePipeline).
- Build Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible for scalable firmware build environments
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters for containerized build and test environments
- Integrate modern AI development tools (Devin.ai, Windsurf, Cursor) into development workflows
- Create automated testing infrastructure for multi-platform firmware validation
- Implement monitoring and observability solutions for firmware build processes
- Collaborate with firmware teams to optimize cloud-based development workflows
- Research and evaluate emerging cloud technologies for embedded development use cases

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (recent graduates welcome)
- Strong foundation in cloud platforms, preferably AWS (certifications a plus)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible)
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go)
- Understanding of CI/CD principles and modern DevOps practices
- Familiarity with Git workflows and version control best practices
- Enthusiasm for AI-assisted development tools and emerging technologies
- Experience with AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, or similar)
- Knowledge of embedded systems build processes (even if academic)
- Understanding of Linux systems and build environments
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)
- Experience with serverless architectures and event-driven systems
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments
- Interest in open source software development and licensing
