Sr Advanced Manufacturing Engineer
As Advanced Manufacturing Engineering at Honeywell, you will play a key role within our organization, responsible for supporting advanced manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for driving manufacturing engineering processes, optimizing operations, and introducing new projects. You will report directly to our Sr Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Manager and you'll work out of our Ciudad Juarez location. Your expertise in process optimization, automation, robotics, and electronic manufacturing will be crucial in ensuring the success and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. You will enhance productivity, improve product quality, and drive cost efficiencies. Your ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives will contribute to the overall success and growth of our organization. By developing and implementing advanced manufacturing strategies, you will enhance productivity, improve product quality, and drive cost efficiencies.
Your knowledge of automation, robotics, and electronic manufacturing will be instrumental in implementing advanced technologies and driving innovation in our manufacturing operations. You will also be responsible for introducing new projects and ensuring their successful integration into our manufacturing processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead manufacturing engineering processes to optimize operations and improve efficiency
• Implement process optimization strategies to enhance productivity and quality
• Utilize automation and robotics technologies to streamline manufacturing processes
• Introduce new projects establishing process parameters, mechanical dimensions and ensure their successful integration into manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Analyze manufacturing data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Responsible for supporting, designing, acceptance validation, release and implementation on production process.
• Involved in the specifications and quotation of new line structure and industrial strategy to meet Safety/Quality/Lead Times and productivity requirements.
• Coordinate Manufacturing Pilot Runs, as required, on ECR’s, ECO’s on new or modified products.
• Collaborate closely with internal engineering and design teams to translate product requirements into manufacturable designs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Use technology to allow a company to produce goods or services of better quality, faster and at lower costs.
• Responsible for planning and organizing of Advanced Manufacturing functions like Sustaining Engineering, Automation & Digitalization, Projects Development, transfers and Management, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Test Development and Capital Needs Identification.
• Use of Artificial intelligence and machine learning to automate aspects of quality control, maintenance logistics and inventory control.
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering graduated preferably in electronics, mechatronic or mechanical-electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years’ experience in electronic products manufacturing engineering.
• Electronic Manufacturing and Components Fabrication Automation of complete assemblies (beyond just PCBA, SMT).
• Knowledge of IPC 610, IPC 7711 & IPC 7721
• Strong knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies, such as automation, robotics, and additive manufacturing
• In dept knowledge of SMT, PTH, TEST and automation processes.
• Proven track record of driving operational excellence and process improvements
• Extensive experience on design for test and manufacturability (DFT/DFM) guidelines of PCBA.
• Experience on process and product quotations.
• Technical knowledge: continuous improvement, line balancing, layout elaboration, purchase of machinery and tools, taking and reduction of operating times, ergonomics, elaboration of standard process sheets.
• Proven track record of successfully introducing new projects into manufacturing operations.
• Prior experience in product manufacturing engineering is essential to effectively support your team and manage the manufacturing process
• LEAN Manufacturing (Value Stream Mapping, Lean Finance, Kaizen Execution, Standard Work, Visual Management, TPM, OEE, SMED, A3 Problem Solving, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be very hands on, good for teaching and coaching and with excellent leadership skills
• Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
• Strict PM schedule follow-up
• Bilingual Spanish/English
