What you’ll do

Your responsibilities are:

• Embracing a culture of automation by developing innovative solutions to ensure stable and scalable AI-based cloud services.
• Making critical design decisions regarding underlying architecture for the frontend.
• Collaborating with diverse teams to streamline and improve processes on the SAP BTP through frontend development of AI applications, leveraging your technical expertise to drive innovation.
• Avoiding obstacles by adopting a problem-solving attitude and persistently seeking solutions.
• Embracing a growth mindset and being open to learning new technologies and software development practices as they emerge, with a focus on generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI-augmented development, and relevant tools.

What you bring

Skills and Experience

On the technical level, a relevant subset of the listed skills is expected.

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, with at least 3 years of professional experience in software development.
• Extensive experience building responsive and user-friendly web applications using HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as SAP UI5, React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Strong understanding of modern front-end build tools like Webpack or Rollup and experience with bundling, minification, and optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with state-of-the-art CSS preprocessors like Sass or Less, and proficiency in writing modular, reusable CSS code.
• Experience with one or more modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks for UI components, such as Material-UI, Bootstrap, or Tailwind CSS.
• Experience designing and implementing visually appealing and user-centered UI/UX designs, including: Wireframing, Prototyping and Responsive Design
• Knowledge of RESTful API design principles and experience working with REST, oData or GraphQL. APIs to fetch and display data from server-side services.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
• Evident problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to think critically and approach complex challenges in a methodical manner.
• A strong desire to continuously learn and stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in front-end development, particularly in areas like generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI-augmented tools.
• Fluency both written and spoken in English.
