We are looking for a Sr. Revenue Accountant to support our System and Services revenue accounting team. Key responsibilities include preparing monthly journal entries, general ledger accounting reconciliations, and other revenue accounting operational activities for month-end and quarter-end close.
In this role, you will…
- Prepare revenue and deferred revenue general ledger journal entries
- Support calculation of revenue deferrals for software licenses
- Complete GL account reconciliations
- Support monthly and quarterly internal and external reporting
- Prepare fluctuation and trend analysis completion and reporting
- Participation in monthly/quarterly meetings with the team and key business partners
- Document SOX procedures
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of revenue within the company’s accounting systems by utilizing US GAAP by analyzing and understanding the various product and services offerings
- Work cross-functionally with Operations and Commercial teams
- Assist with review of customer contracts and promotions in order to apply proper revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 guidance and company policies
In this role, you’ll need …
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Accounting/Finance or equivelent experience
- CPA preferred
- 6+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience – preferably a mix of Big 4 or other public accounting firm experience and US public companies
- Strong knowledge of and experience in applying revenue guidance under ASC 606, preferably at a technology or software company
- Experience in managing revenue accounting processes within a large-scale ERP, preferably SAP
- Moderate to Advanced Excel skills, PowerBI a plus
- Proven written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as a trusted teammate in a dynamic environment
- Detail-oriented focus and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
