What a typical day looks like:
- Recognize the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques, and the product.
- Define, implement, and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
- Have the capability to singly or with other engineering stakeholders identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process.
- High level participation in daily production activities and effective problem solving on daily issues.
- Prepare justification, purchase, and implement capital equipment for production.
- Hold up and oversee new process equipment production.
- Hold up the raising and introduction of engineering change orders (ECOs).
- Establish robust, repeatable, and reproducible process parameters.
- Develop, implement, and take ownership of process control methodologies.
- Develop and maintain process documentation.
- Review processing methods.
- Knowledge of Amada (punching and laser cutting) and Trump (laser cutting) machinery / Familiar with manufacturing processes.
- Experience in design and CAD management – any computer-aided design software.
- Management of KPIs / Daily monitoring of productivity and process improvement (work by result)
- Management of cost reduction projects (continuous improvement)
- Support for implementation of engineering changes (ECO). (desirable)
- Experience in NPI. (punching and laser cutting process (new product development, tool design, DFM (vave) value Analytics Value Engineering) – cost reduction methodology.
- Knowledge of materials: heat treatments, types of materials.
- Data management and analytical capacity.
- Advanced English
- Experience with personnel in charge.
- Availability and service attitude
- Experience in Metal-Mechanical Industry (Desirable).
