Job Description

Job Purpose:

This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation, and safeguarding its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Participate in BRD, FRD discussions, support User Testing and provide Technology interface for new country, program implementation.
  • Ability to support the applications multiple projects globally.
  • Ensure robust reporting for Finance, Risk and Compliance is delivered.
  • Ability to Provide and maintain dashboards/RAG reporting on projects and tasks. Follow up on items pending with other teams for all group tasks and timely escalate as needed.
  • Participate in stakeholder/Tech team meetings/calls as required.
  • Track and update project milestones and critical deliverables, update various tracking SharePoint sites and metrics.
  • Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives for complex projects through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry standards.
  • Consults with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems, and industry standards; recommends solutions.
  • Leads system change process from requirements through implementation; provides user and operational support of application to business users.
  • Considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment; identifies and communicates risks and impacts.
  • Drives communication between business leaders and IT; exhibits sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information.
  • Provides sound understanding of business analysis concepts and principles and a basic knowledge of concepts and principles in other technology areas.
  • Applies comprehensive understanding of how multiple areas collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives.
  • Acts as advisor or mentor to new or junior analysts.
  • Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated and unique situations.
  • Build relationships with business and technology stakeholders.

Knowledge/Experience:

  • 8+ Year Software experience in Requirement Analysis and Functional Spec Documentation.
  • 5+ Year experience for writing test cases and Execution of test cases.
  • Extensive relevant experience in IT Business Analysis ideally in Finance industry.
  • Strong Knowledge of GAAP Accounting.
  • Good Understanding of Foreign exchange Trade life cycle, currency exposure, Hedging, revaluation, MTM, Pnl calculation, Reconciliation & Rates usage.
  • Knowledge of FX and Derivative products like Options, Swaps, Futures forwards etc. would be an advantage.
  • Worked in Onsite - offshore model.
  • Significant years of experience in Technology in different capacities across business analysis, project management, user support/production support.
  • Extensive relevant experience in IT Technology components ideally in Finance industry.
  • Good to have Comprehensive knowledge of ETL Tools like Abinitio and Non SQL Database – MongoDb or equivalent.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate with various Technology Teams (Development, Product Assurance and Production Support Teams).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or master’s degree in computer science or Engineering or related discipline.
