We’re looking for a passionate storyteller to shape the voice of Cilium, eBPF, and Isovalent. As a Community Builder, you’ll craft compelling social media content, blogs, and case studies to help Isovalent and the open source communities we work with come to life. Your work will engage developers and end users, expanding our ecosystem and deepening connections.
What You'll Do- Maintain relationships with end users and developers to showcase Cilium’s role and Isovalent’s work in the open source ecosystem and beyond
- Run social media for our brands, working in collaboration with the marketing team and bringing an authentic and engaging voice to our messaging
- Follow the Development, Sales, and Marketing teams to make sure the Cilium, eBPF and Isovalent brands and content are relatable and resonate with the communities around eBPF and our projects
- Work with the CNCF, eBPF Foundation, and other open source communities to build the Cilium and Isovalent brands through events, content, CfP, and other community activities
- Engage directly with end users to understand the value they have realized through the Cilium family of projects and Isovalent, and bring their ideas, needs, and successes back into our organization
- Work alongside our technical evangelists to highlight Isovalent’s leadership in open source contributions
Specific tasks- Promote the work of the Cilium community and Isovalent through various social media channels including the eCHO livestream, @ciliumproject, @ebpfsummit, @isovalent and Cilium slack
- Write, edit, format, and post content to the Cilium and ebpf.io blogs from both internal and external sources
- Showcase how end users are benefiting from projects in the Cilium ecosystem through blogs, case studies, and talks
- Help organize events, like eBPF Summit, and track CfP to send people to events, both online and in person, that showcase Isovalent’s work in open source
- Brainstorm and implement new ways to engage the open source community and expand our reach
Minimum qualifications:- Published written work
- Run tech related social media account (personal or professional)
- 2+ years experience with Kubernetes or other cloud native technologies
